Konbanwa!
My name is Harrison Merrill, and I'm a senior at BYU-I studying software development technology with an
emphasis in web development. I live in the future (by about 14 hours) - specifically, I live in Okinawa Japan
with my wife, two boys (ages 6 and 2), and dogs. My wife works for the US Air Force as a maintainer (mechanic)
for C-130J's, and we have previously lived in Tachikawa, Tokyo, Japan, doing the same work, meaning we have
lived in Japan for 8 consecutive years (and I admit that I am still functionally illiterate).
I also volunteer as a key support liaison for the 1stSOAMXS, and as the branch activity committee chair, both
of which mostly involve me cooking for and feeding large groups of people. When groups get over a certain size,
that almost always means smoking several pork butts, brisket, hot dogs, and mac & cheese, or otherwise making
hawaiian style food, but for smaller groups I lean heavily on asian-pacific, italian, mexican, and french
cooking styles. When I need to relax and do something that isn't school, family, community, or beach oriented, I
spend my time learning new recipes and cooking techniques, painting miniature figurines, watching films, and
playing various types of video, board, and tabletop games.
This is currently serving as a live collection of repositories for the various types of work I've done as I've
progressed towards my degree. The highlights of this work include several pathfinder ttrpg campaigns, which I
have been working on as a passion project since 2019, and act both as a record of our local campaigns, as well
as a living record of my growth and progression as a web developer. Other sections include work and projects
done for classes since being at BYU-I, and fill the roll of my academic portfolio.
Live Campaigns and Projects
This the the active campaign for my players, along with any other current projects. My current campaign is
Wrath of the Righteous, which started in August 2026 and coincides with the 3.0 full stack release of my
campaign site for my players.
These links lead to my past campaigns, with the live sites stored on github pages. Due to architecture
changes over the years, some of the links and images may not function as they did previously, but generally,
these projects still detail the escapades of my group, as well as detail my growth as a GM and web
developer. The projects here are listed in order from most recent to oldest campaigns, and span from July
2026 with the end of our serpents skull campaign through August 2015 with my first campaign before I started
school or had any web resources.
Council of Thieves (August 2017 - March 2018, 6 Books)
Echoes of Glory (August 2015 - February 2016, Homebrew)
Archived Projects:
These are other projects I developed over the course of my scholastic career, with varying levels of
technical difficulty and proficiency. They are generally listed in order from newest to oldest. Some of
these projects are entirely back-end or require a backend to view correctly - those projects will just have
repositories listed.
